- Don't miss the 'Autumn Market'!
- TAKE ACTION, COLLECT
The British Club of The Hague is proud to have chosen Haags Dierencentrum (The Hague Animal Rescue Centre) as its charity for 2017.
Every year the British Club organises an Autumn Market to raise funds for its chosen charity. The Pastoral Centre in Koningin Marialaan, is transformed into a magical market full of hand-made craft items. The vendors offer a wide range of affordable items, from jewellery and silverware to woven and upcycled items, as well as greeting cards and Christmas cards. The Market provides the perfect opportunity to stock up with unique gifts for family and friends – or even for yourself! Sinterklaas was never so easy!
You can also relax in the Market Café, where coffee and tea are free. The British Club’s own stall is laden with cakes, cookies, jams, and other British goodies. You can buy these to take home, or if you can’t wait, enjoy a delicious snack with your drink in the Café.
Encourage friends, family and neighburs to come to the Market, because they will be supporting HDC! And if you are free, we hope you will come along too and enjoy the friendly atmosphere while shopping for Sinterklaas and the holidays.
The British Club of The Hague welcomes everyone who has an interest in British culture, even if they are not United Kingdom citizens. The Club offers a range of social activities during its weekly Friday meetings, including discussion groups, mahjong, and bridge. Walks, visits, and talks are also a regular feature of the Club calendar. There is an excellent library with more than 1500 books in English and new titles are added every few months. Coffee and tea are free: home-made cakes are available for a small charge, as well as filled rolls at lunchtime. Please visit www.BritishClubofTheHague.com for more information.
